Who is Karthik Kadambi

Karthik Kadambi is a seasoned Full Stack Web Developer with over 13 years of industry experience, combining frontend expertise with backend proficiency to craft fast, accessible and scalable web experiences.

Originally from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India and now residing in Fremont, California, USA, Karthik is a champion of clean architecture, performance and accessibility. His philosophy is to build with empathy, respecting users' time, devices and bandwidth as essential elements in modern development.

From contributing to early-stage startup applications to architecting large-scale enterprise systems, he combines technical expertise with a deep focus on user experience and maintainability. Karthik is also a dedicated Design System Enthusiast and an Aspiring AI Engineer.

My Journey

Early Childhood and Education

Born in 1990, I began my academic journey at Saraswathi Vidya Nikethan, where I completed my early schooling. I continued at Sri Vani Education Centre until March 2005, which provided a strong academic foundation and encouraged holistic development. During my time there, I was also an active member of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Air wing, which helped instill discipline, leadership, and a sense of civic responsibility.

I then pursued my pre-university education at KLE'S Nijalingappa College, focusing on science, and completed it in May 2007. From 2007 to 2011, I attended SJBIT (S.J.B. Institute of Technology), where I earned a degree in Computer Science and Engineering, laying the groundwork for my career in the tech industry.

Professional

After completing my degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2011, I began my professional journey in the tech industry. Over the years, I have worked with various organizations, each contributing to my growth as an IT professional.

  • Kepran Infosoft Pvt Ltd. (Permanent Role): I began my career at Kepran, a startup where I was responsible for designing and developing websites for a variety of clients. This experience helped me build a strong foundation in full-stack web development, client collaboration, and agile delivery.
  • Qsource (Contractor at Accenture): Through Qsource, I was deployed to Accenture, where I worked on:
    • An internal HR portal to streamline employee data, workflows, and leave management
    • A clinical data processing application designed to handle and validate sensitive healthcare data These projects deepened my understanding of enterprise-grade application development and secure data handling.
  • Accenture (Permanent Role): After 18 months, I was converted to a permanent employee at Accenture in recognition of my performance. I contributed to:
    • a procurement software platform that automated vendor management, purchasing workflows, and cost tracking, enhancing efficiency for large-scale enterprise clients.
    • Worked for client Intuit on tax products web interface.
  • Brillio (Permanent Role): At Brillio, I currently work with Realtor.com, a leading real estate technology platform. My contributions include:
    • Modernizing the front-end architecture by migrating the platform from Ruby on Rails (RoR) to React with Next.js, significantly improving performance, SEO, and developer productivity
    • Developing “New Homes” listing pages, enabling users to explore newly built properties with advanced filtering and visual features
    • Enhancing the Listing Detail Page (LDP) for improved layout, performance, and content engagement
    • Currently leading development of revenue-critical lead forms, which connect users with agents and drive core business KPIs. This role has allowed me to contribute to high-traffic, customer-facing features in a modern web stack, driving both user experience improvements and business value.

  • Backend Development & APIs: Designing and developing RESTful APIs and serverless backend solutions with Node.js, integrating third-party services, and building scalable serverless pipelines for efficient business logic execution.
  • Cloud & Architecture: Experienced in designing cloud-native applications, leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for scalable infrastructure, serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines. Skilled in microservices architecture and ensuring application reliability and scalability.
  • AI & Data Integration: Incorporating AI-powered features and data-driven solutions by integrating machine learning APIs, natural language processing, and data pipelines to enhance user experience and automate workflows.
